Business Analyst
As a Business Analyst at ROAM Data, you will own one or more of our applications, be it hardware or software (or both). You will be THE expert on these applications from a business perspective. You will be responsible to be the application’s gate keeper, making sure any needs coming down from Product Management or Sales can be replicated across products, built in the most efficient way, and provides exceptional user experience. You will translate business needs into business requirements documents and functional requirement documents. You will manage a cross functional team of engineers, QA and business stakeholders along the software development life cycle to make sure everyone is on the same page of what is needed and what is being built. You will assist marketing in building training materials for our users where relevant.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will listen to stakeholders’ needs (and at times, Clients’) and offer innovative solutions. You will work very closely with engineering to execute on time the exact solution you came up with.
In short, you are the bond between business and technology and you will manage ideas to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Come up with innovative solutions to market needs
- Write business and functional requirements in a rapidly changing environment
- Project manage projects, including building a project plan, managing a cross functional team, mitigating risk, etc.

Required
- 2+ years of writing functional requirements experience – NO EXCEPTION
- Ability to execute on time and within budget (experience in project management a plus)
- B.S. or B.A. required, MBA a plus
- Being a self-driven innovative person that is execution oriented.
- Knowledge in mobile technology a plus.
- Knowledge in Payments a big plus (Cards, Mobile Payments, Merchant Acquiring, POS…)
This position does not usually require travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America.
