Key Differentials
- Push/Pull Capabilities
- Usability Enhancements (Reverse Phone & Zip lookups, Voice to Text, Easy workflow)
- Peripheral Support (GPS, Bluetooth, Voice, etc.)
- Offline Capabilities
- Built-in Security
Push/Pull Capabilities
Push & Pull features are essential in today's marketing. Whether it's an automated low-inventory alert or an all-hands notice to see who will be attending the annual event, the ROAM Player is smart enough to deliver this functionality. It doesn't matter if you have 5000 or 100,000 Distributors working for you, the ROAM Player's ability to send a request and receive a response are vital to staying in touch with your workforce.
Usability-Enhanced & Peripheral Support
What sets the ROAM Player apart from a normal browser experience are the added usability-enhanced features. Features such as:
- Voice-to-Text - Voice-activated text input
- Reverse Phone Lookup - Automatically find addresses
The ROAM Player can also interact with any of your devices available peripherals:
- GPS Navigation
- Bluetooth Support
- Credit Card Swipe
- Barcode Swipe, and more...
Offline Capabilities
When offline, ROAM Applications can read and write data, store and execute offline-specific logic so that “out of coverage” no longer means “out of luck.” Note that a ROAM Application only makes network calls when it needs dynamic data from the web: the UI and logic for the application itself resides on the device.
For complete accessibility, the (J2SE) ROAM Player is available on your desktop as a twin to your mobile application.
Built-in Security
All transport-level (network) activity is strongly-encrypted (currently with support for triple-DES and AES). All data saved locally is encrypted. All device activity can be traced to a single provisioned device.
